Severn Valley Railway -
The Engine House, Highley, Shropshire

A D Horner Limited have established a good working relationship with The Severn Valley Railway over a number of years and have undertaken a variety of survey work including land surveys, sections, setting out and deformation monitoring. The land survey for the Engine House was a relatively difficult site because of the ground conditions and steepness of the site, as can be seen from the contours on the land survey drawing example.

We were happy to assist with further land survey work on the line at very short notice following the major flooding event in 2007. As well as land survey drawings we also provided section drawings for use by the Railway’s team of engineers.
